James Christopher 'Jamie' Keeper Webb, 45

James Christopher "Jamie" Keeper Webb, 45, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at his home in Kalispell. He was born Oct. 9, 1961, in Whitefish, the son of Ted and Patti (Sume) Webb.

He attended high school in Randle, Wash., and received his GED from Yakima Valley Community College. He then attended J.M. Perry Technical Institute, graduating second in his class.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1979 until 1982.

In 1995, he received his master machining certification in machine tooling and production. He started employment at Yakima Quality Welding in Yakima, Wash., then later at Timpke Machine Service, also in Yakima. He came to the Flathead Valley and began working at Industrial Pacific Machine Services, then Commercial Machine, and was working for Riebe Machine Works at the time of his passing.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and also racing cars. He was also a crew chief in auto racing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Webb, in 1978; a half sister, Holly Webb; grandparents, Chick and Margaret Sume, and Doc and May Webb; stepfather, Gary Keeper; stepbrother, Robert Keeper; and a cousin, Shannon Lamkin.

He is survived by his sons, Theodore J. and Brandon P. Webb, both of Shelton, Wash.; his mother, Patti Keeper, of Columbia Falls; three half sisters, Tracy St. Onge and husband, Jay, of Spokane, Shawna Myrick and husband, Greg, of Brookings, Ore., and Tarey Schelling and husband, Bruce, of Olney; an aunt, Dottie West, of Fairbanks, Alaska; and uncle, Shane Sume, of Packwood, Wash.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Memorial services for Jamie were held March 1 at Johnson Mortuary chapel.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to the Jamie Webb Memorial Fund, 100 E. Cottonwood Drive, Kalispell, MT 59901.
