Maybe the grass was greener

A woman woke up Wednesday morning to find 20 horses roaming across her yard on the 400 block of Gordon Avenue near Columbia Falls. The owner of the horses was contacted by Flathead County sheriff's deputies. The horses were rounded up and corralled at nearby Outfitters Supply.

Deputies arrested a man, 24, on suspicion of vehicle theft Tuesday evening, after the vehicle's owner reported that it was missing and to where it likely was taken.

There was a dispute between two women about a vehicle theft that allegedly occurred recently on Harmony Lane in Evergreen. Although deputies arrested no one for theft, one of the women, 42, was arrested on a contempt-of-court warrant.

An uncontrollable 12-year-old boy was arrested at a Lake Blaine residence late Tuesday, and taken to the county Juvenile Detention Center.

A burglary was reported Wednesday morning at a residence on the 1000 block of Monaghan Road near Whitefish, with multiple items reportedly stolen.
