Flathead County sheriff's deputies checked into a report that Goose Bay gravel pit had an illegal pump running a discharge into Spring Creek. County Planning and Zoning personnel shut it off.

The man at the door on Zimmerman Road first wanted to repair the resident's vacuum, then sold her a used vacuum. It had a hole in it. Smelled like a scam, so payment was stopped on the check.

A reportedly drunk husband caused a disturbance at LaSalle RV Park.

It was an argument between mother and 20-year-old daughter that worried the girl at a trailer on U.S. 2 West, where 5- and 6-year-old kids also were in the home.

A Lower Valley woman's elderly neighbor got a suspicious call from someone in New York asking for personal information, and using the woman's name as a reference.

A truck pulling a flatbed trailer along Meridian Road posed a hazard, what with the gate dragging behind it.

First National Pawn received a possibly stolen gun.

A boy was reported going through mailboxes and pulling out the mail.

Animal cruelty was suspected on Egan Slough Road, where a caller found a malnourished horse with ribs showing and standing up to its hocks in mud. Four other horses were there, too.
