David Louis Wesley Sr., 60

David passed away peacefully March 12, 2007, at his home. David was born June 19, 1946, in Whitefish.

After high school, David joined the United States Navy and was stationed in Philadelphia. While there, he met Shirley, marrying her on June 23, 1967.

After being discharged in 1970 they moved to Coudersport, Pa. While living in Coudersport, they gave birth to their three children. In 1974 they moved back to Whitefish with their three children.

Dave was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. His passions were playing with his grandchildren, sharing time with all of his friends and family, and camping at Upper Whitefish Lake.

Dave is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shirley; his three children, Robert, Karen and Dave; their spouses, David and Lexi; and his grandchildren, Megan and Kelsey.

Dave will be cremated and his ashes spread over Upper Whitefish Lake, a place close to his heart.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 16, at Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish. A reception will follow at Grouse Mountain Lodge.
