Beer bottles

Beer bottles barraged the innocent early Sunday morning in Kalispell and just north of town.

Kalispell police and the Flathead County Sheriff's Office reported three incidents of men in cars throwing beer bottles at a person on Eighth Avenue West, at a car on U.S. 93 near Majestic Arena and at a car at the intersection of Reserve Drive and Whitefish Stage Road.

In the U.S. 93 attack, the car with the bottle-tossers chased the target vehicle into and around northern Kalispell, once hitting a speed of more than 90 mph.

Although they occurred at about the same times, it could not be determined Sunday from dispatch reports whether the attacks were related, or whether the U.S. 93 and Reserve-Whitefish attacks involved the same victim.
