Leta M. Erickson 74

Leta M. Erickson 74, of Missoula, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007, at St. Patrick Hospital. She was born July 17, 1932, in Missoula, to Isobel and William Dickinson. Leta attended the University of Montana in Missoula, with two music scholarships for voice and piano. She sang with the U of M Jubileers. She was also a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority.

She married Kenneth H. Erickson in September of 1951.

She worked for the Missoula County Public Schools for 23 years. She was an accomplished musician and duplicate bridge player.

She was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish and sang in the church choir.

She was loved by many for her wonderful sense of humor and kind heart.

Leta was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents, Isobel and William Dickinson; and her brother, Bill Dickinson.

She is survived by her brother, Robert; five children, Julie, Jim, Jane, Mike and Beth; as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, at Holy Spirit Parish, 130 South Sixth St. East, in Missoula.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Holy Spirit Parish.
