Don't help me, help my friends

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office investigated a reported assault on Parker Hill Road. A man was bleeding from the face and nose, but refused medical attention. He was, however, concerned for the welfare of his friends still stuck at the site, so deputies went to check on them. Later, they learned a neighbor was firing his gun.

Deputies investigated a reported assault at Evergreen Junior High.

A delivery person reported an injured dog on Rhodes Draw with a chain through its leg and paw. Unable to remove the chain, the person called for an animal warden.

A deputy and a police officer were requested Tuesday evening at the Vacationer Motel, then a man was arrested.

A light at a gate near a building on River Drive keeps getting shot at.

Deputies helped a woman with her out-of-control son Tuesday evening at Spruce Park.

A driver tried to move a dog lying in the middle of the road at Sliters in Bigfork, but the dog limped back to the road and lay down. Animal control was called.

Videotaping and photographing her are violations of the restraining order against a neighbor, the woman said.

Whitefish police tried to serve two Montana Highway Patrol warrants on a man after he was found on the ground, bleeding, behind a downtown Whitefish business. Police said he got belligerent, so the charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct were added. Whitefish ambulance took him to North Valley Hospital.

A woman called to say a man had either been stabbed or shot. When police arrived he said he had been assaulted by people driving by in a van. Police said the man simply was very intoxicated, and they could not confirm his story.
