Flathead County sheriff's deputies got a call about a missing hiker from Florida who was on the Mount Brown Lookout trail Wednesday afternoon. The hiker was last heard from just before it started snowing, but turned up fine just before 7 p.m.

An accident on Whitefish Stage Road north of Edgerton School resulted in a warrant arrest, after the person left on foot and deputies tracked him down.

Broken glass in the back door to a deck and a light on in the garage at a home on U.S. 93 indicated a burglary while the owners were out of town. Neighbors reported it.

An injured deer struggling in the middle of the road on Montana 35 two miles south of Bigfork was gone by the time authorities arrived.

Fish, Wildlife and Parks handled a call from Helena Flats Road about a Canada goose with a muskrat trap on its foot.

Someone flagged down a deputy on the road to help with a family problem. The deputy ended up arresting a woman for assault with a weapon.
