Malfunctioning power pole

Whitefish police discovered a malfunctioning power pole after somebody reported lights had been flashing at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course for 20 minutes shortly after midnight.

A silver belt reported lost on Central Avenue wasn't just any silver belt. It was a $2,300 silver belt, the owner said.

A thief reportedly made off with nails from a construction site. But it was called theft of services when somebody put garbage in someone else's trash bin.
