Charles A. Heleman, 89

Charles A. Heleman, 89, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007, at Brendan House in Kalispell. He was born Aug. 7, 1917, in Chidress, Texas, and raised in El Paso, Texas.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1941, and while serving his country, married Alexandra Verbiloff in 1944. He was honorably discharged in 1945.

Charles and wife have resided in Kalispell for the past 25 years, where he was an active member of the Whitefish Masonic Lodge, and the First Presbyterian Church in Kalispell.

He was preceded in death by his son, Charles T. Heleman.

He is survived by his wife, Alexandra; a son, John W. Heleman, both of Kalispell; a daughter, Mary Heleman and her husband, Richard; grandchildren, Richard Hutchinson Jr., Lisa Mari Bell, all of Tallahassee, Fla., Jon Erik Heleman of San Diego, Calif.

Visitation was held at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home on March 21, and graveside services were held in Anaconda on March 22.
