Flathead County sheriff

A Flathead County sheriff's deputy talked to boys who were reported picking up a puppy by its neck across from the Deer Lick Saloon, and making the puppy yelp loud enough to be heard from a distance.

A propane tank was reported stolen off a camper on Shady Lane.

Neighbors finally stopped a young man, who reportedly drives daily along Lauman Road at speeds estimated at 60 to 70 mph. His parents said they would settle the boy down.

A prowler was reported again on MacKenzie Lane in Bigfork.

An assault was reported Tuesday afternoon at Bigfork High School.
