Kalispell police

Kalispell police took a call from a woman whose father was bitten by an opossum in her yard. His gloves protected him from broken skin. But the critter was injured and still in her yard, so she asked for help. The opossum was dispatched.

Fifty Lortab tablets were reported taken - along with cash and credit card inside a purse - from a vehicle at Lawrence Park.

A half-dozen people were reported in a fight on North Meridian, with a woman refusing to leave when asked. Pushing and yelling led to separation of the group, but not to charges.

There was a windshield, but no doors or trunk on a Jeep Cherokee in a fast-food parking lot, and no ordinance against the open-air ride. The youths did have their seat belts fastened, police discovered.

The old roof of the old hospital on Fifth Avenue East appeared to be an attractive playground once again, this time for six or seven youngsters. Parents promised to keep them off of it.

Police arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with resisting arrest and obstructing a peace officer, and a 20-year-old man on a warrant, after officers responded to suspicious activity reported at Fourth Avenue East and Center Street.

A 29-year-old son ran errands for his mother but still was missing by 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI No. 3 when stopped near the Hilton Garden Inn.

Indecent exposure was the conclusion when a caller reported a guy with a white hat fornicating with a female in a grocery parking lot. Police gave the boy a ride elsewhere.

Construction traffic, flaggers and a single southbound lane at North Meridian and U.S. 93 cause morning traffic problems, a caller reported Thursday. Just 15 minutes later, a semi-truck reportedly sideswiped a car at that intersection, but drove off.

Thousands of dollars in damage to a rental vehicle was reported.

Child abuse is being investigated after a school report.

An assault was reported at a Harmony Road home.
