Maidens lose in Anaconda

ANACONDA - Anaconda senior Maddy Walker broke a 5-all tie Thursday evening with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to help the Copperheads slip past Central A foe Ronan, 6-5.

The Maidens took a 2-1 lead in the second inning and a 5-3 lead in the fourth inning.

Anaconda out-hit the Maidens 13-10 and committed no errors. Ronan had just two errors.

Ronan's Kelsey Clairmont and Brittany Bilile each had two hits while Clairmont and Katy Sorrell each had two RBI.

Walker went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI's to pace Anaconda. Kirstin King belted out a triple, double and two RBI's and Brie Orrino and Brittany Sturm added two hits apiece for the 'Heads.
