Flathead County

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office said a 12-year-old boy on Stillwater Loop called them, crying and telling a story about his father hitting, kicking and choking him because he had not taken a shower on time. He added a detail that his father had broken his nose once before. Deputies discovered none of this had happened. Rather, they said, the boy had taken a swing at his father, who then redirected him to the shower.

On McMannamy Draw, a vehicle hit a tree but a person in the vehicle refused medical attention.

A storage shed which had been open on FFA Drive since 7:30 a.m. Tuesday seemed suspicious to a caller.

Flathead Electric was called for a transformer that blew and caught a transformer on fire on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish.
