Break-in left vehicle broken

| May 3, 2007 1:00 AM

Kalispell police took a report of theft from a vehicle on Slitter Lane that left the owner without a radar detector, sunglasses, snowbird goggles and a plastic panel below the steering wheel, and with a broken speedometer/odometer cover.

On Seventh Avenue East, three vehicles were broken into and a purse stolen. Four blocks away, a tossed rock broke a windshield and dented a fender on another vehicle.

It appeared that a black-and-brown dog made tracks Wednesday morning, when it was reported on Greatview and at the Sons of Norway hall on First Avenue East within 10 minutes. At Woodland Park, the owner of a straying dog was counseled. Yet another dog, this one white, collarless and tagless, was taken to the shelter. Yet another bit a man.
