Robert W. 'Bob' Sund, 60

Robert W. "Bob" Sund, 60, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell. He was born April 5, 1947, in Kalispell, to William "Rusty" and Ruth (Vincent) Sund. He was raised in West Glacier.

He graduated from West Side High School in Omaha, Neb., and went to college at the University of Nebraska in Omaha, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business.

Bob spent a long successful career at General Electric.

In college, Bob met and married the love of his life, Colleen Driscoll. Through 42 years of love, compassion, and three children, they were a perfect team.

Bob taught his family to love and respect the outdoors, to be ethical, caring people and the importance of family. Often quiet, his family and close friends were treated to his wit and sense of humor. He was happiest upon retirement, when he could come home to Montana to enjoy his wife, children and grandchildren.

Bob's family would like to thank the staff at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, and the physicians and staff at HCNW.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Colleen Sund, of Kalispell; two daughters; Molly Drago of Kalispell, and Pattie O'Rourke and husband, Brian, of Smithfield, Ky.; one son, Matt Sund, and wife, Ashley, of Lakeside; his two beloved grandchildren, Keith and Skyler; and one sister, Karen Tupper, of Seattle.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held next summer after the births of his two anticipated grandchildren.
