Gary Marko, 42

Gary Marko, 42, passed away at his home in Covington, Wash., on May 9, 2007, after an intense battle with cancer. He was born on July 25, 1964, in St. Charles, Mo. Gary graduated from high school in St. Charles and went to Florrisant Community College then attended the University of Texas.

He enjoyed his career as a quality assurance engineer for Leonard's Metal and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company.

Those of us who knew and loved Gary will always remember his passion for life, love for his family and friends, riding his motorcycle and golf.

Gary Marko and Amy Lindlief were married in Kalispell on Aug. 1, 1998.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Amy; his daughters, Madison, Morgan and Megan; his mother, Pauline Marko of St. Charles; and brother, Marty; father- and mother-in-law, Art and Sandy Lindlief; sisters-in-law, Pennijo Tompkins and Kelly Siblerud; brother-in-law, Lance Lindlief; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold.

A memorial Service was held at Peace Lutheran Church on May 14 in Covington, Wash. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Conrad Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, May 16 followed by a reception.

The Marko family would like to thank all those who have offered their loving support during Gary's long illness.
