Flathead County sheriff's deputies arrested a 33-year-old man Monday morning after he allegedly beat his 60-year-old father. Deputies on Sunday afternoon had gone to the home on Missy Lane by Whitefish, when the son reportedly threatened his father. He carried out those threats by reportedly beating and kicking the father Monday.

The great outdoors wasn't so great after campers at Ashley Lake's south campground returned to their site Sunday afternoon to discover somebody had stolen their tent, a backpack, two sleeping bags and two pillows.

He left for the winter, a man on Boone Road near Somers said, and returned to find the place one ladder shy.

Dollar Rent-A-Car said a vehicle that was stolen last week was found Sunday, abandoned on Seventh Avenue West in Kalispell. A wrecker brought it home.

A 16-year-old girl was so angry at her mom for not giving her a cigarette that she left their Willow Glen Drive home on foot, wearing pajamas.
