Man arrested for family member assault

Flathead County sheriff's deputies arrested a man for hitting his daughter on Mountain Meadow Road Thursday and charged him with family member assault.

Shots were fired at the end of Leisure Drive in Leisure Island, but police were unable to locate the person responsible.

Deputies rousted two transients from a construction area near Nickel Charlie's Casino, one of whom had taken up residence under a trailer.

Police are investigating a case of child neglect at the White Birch RV park.

The Sheriff's office received a Crime Stoppers tip regarding the string of recent convenience store robberies they believe were all committed by the same man, but it did not lead to an arrest. Police continue to encourage the public to call Crime Stoppers at (406) 752-8477 with any information.

A 17-year-old missing person was found Friday in Bozeman.
