Columbia Falls police are investigating a late Saturday evening assault that resulted in a head injury that that brought a Three Rivers Emergency Medical Service ambulance to the scene, which took the victim to North Valley Hospital.

Police arrested a 49-year-old man earlier Saturday evening on suspicion of drunken driving.

Early on Sunday morning, police arrested and held a man wanted in Whitefish on suspicion of drunken driving.
