Libby tips Glacier, 2-1

WHITEFISH - Steve Bertelsen and Rory Hendrickson combined on a 5-hitter as Libby slipped past Glacier 2-1 Sunday at the seventh annual Wood Bat Tournament at Memorial Park.

Bertelsen, now 3-1 on the season, fanned six Twins while Hendrickson, who picked up his third save of the season, had three strikeouts.

"They threw a lot of strikes," said Libby coach Kelly Morford of Bertelsen and Hendrickson.

"We played solid defense and made fundamental plays."

Libby, 7-7, finishes up tournament action today facing Salmon, Idaho, at 9 a.m.

Glacier and Kalispell play for the A championship today at 2:30 p.m.
