Vera E. Bunker, 93

Vera E. Bunker, 93, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Brendan House in Kalispell.

She was born Jan. 16, 1914, in Downers Grove, Ill., to Clive Malvern and Mathilda Marie (Ahrens) Byxbe.

Vera moved with her family to Wolf Point soon after her birth. She married Raymond Bunker on Jan. 7, 1933. They moved to the Flathead Valley in 1941.

Vera enjoyed gardening, quilting, knitting, walks, and family and friends. Vera was loved and will be missed by all her family, especially by her children: Kenneth, Nadine, Donald, Mark and Barbara.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, on April 30, 1989.

She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Bunker and Donald Bunker, both of Kalispell, and Mark Bunker of Fallon, Nevada; two daughters, Nadine Sand of Kalispell, and Barbara Hayes of Missoula; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Vera will be held at 2 p.m. May 30, 2007, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Columbia Falls, with Pastor Marty Kaare officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be after the service at Fairview Cemetery.
