Hill competing in PBR World Finals

Beau Hill of West Glacier is competing in the World Finals of Professional Bull Riding in Las Vegas.

Hill comes into the competition ranked 15th in the series point standings with 5,029.25. The 28-year-old cowboy has season earnings of $61,064.89.

Hill, 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, has competed in 29 PBR events this year. He's ridden 32 of 77 bulls for a 41.56 percentage.

Justin McBride, 28, of Elk City, Okla., is the top ranked cowboy in earnings, $687,175.65, and series points, 11,505.25. McBride has also attended 29 events and owns a 63.10 percent riding average (53 of 84).

The World Finals will have seven rounds. Round four is scheduled for tonight at the Thomas & Mack Center with action to follow Saturday and conclude Sunday.

Hill has placed in the top 15 in two of the first three rounds at the World Finals. He was 12th last Friday with an 86-point ride on TBB 432. He then placed ninth in the second round Saturday with an 84.50 ride on Predator. That earned Hill $2,000.

Hill was bucked off Windtwister in round three on Sunday.

Round four was Thursday evening and Hill was schedule to ride Scene of the Crash.

Hill has finished in the top five twice and has been in the top 10 nine times at PBR events in 2007. He's posted two 90-point plus rides and his best consecutive ride streak is four.

Hill's career earnings with the PBR are $119,118.17.
