Pairings set for state volleyball tourney

Northwest Montana will have three teams competing at the All Class State Volleyball Tournament starting Thursday in Bozeman.

Defending Class A state champion Whitefish (14-4) will face Miles City (27-6) at 2 p.m.

Northwestern A regular season and divisional champion Libby (15-1) opens up against Laurel at 10 a.m.

Over in Class AA, Flathead (14-9) will face Billings West (24-5) at noon.

The tournament at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the campus of Montana State University runs through Saturday.

Class AA

10 a.m. - Missoula Sentinel (12-10) vs. Billings Skyview (18-12)

Noon - Flathead (14-9) vs. Billings West (24-5)

2 p.m. - Billings Senior (27-0) vs. Missoula Big Sky (14-8)

4 p.m. - Bozeman (18-8) vs. Helena Capital (13-11)

Class A

10 a.m. - Libby (15-1) vs. Laurel

Noon - Lewistown (23-1) vs. Anaconda (15-3)

2 p.m. - Miles City (27-6) vs. Whitefish (14-4)

4 p.m. - Dillon (15-6) vs. Havre (18-7)

Class B

10 a.m. - Choteau vs. Huntley Project

Noon - Townsend (22-0) vs. Deer Lodge

2 p.m. - Missoula Loyola vs. Big Timber (17-9)

4 p.m. - Colstrip vs. Fairfield

Class C

10 a.m. - Circle vs. Highwood

Noon - Shields Valley vs. Park City

2 p.m. - Absarokee vs. Wibaux

4 p.m. - Chester-Joplin-Inverness vs. Hot Springs (21-5)
