| November 11, 2007 1:00 AM

Caroline "Kerry" Felecia Facincani, 82, passed away at home Nov. 7, 2007.

She was born June 1, 1925, which in Kerry years, made her just older than 40. She was raised in Butte by Josephine and Gaetano Facincani, attending Butte High School, graduating in 1943. She then attended telegraphers school in Jamestown, N.D. She graduated from the "three-month wonders" class, which originally had been a one-year class and started working for the railroad as temporary help.

Kerry called herself the longest temporary help ever. She began with the Northern Pacific (at 32 cents an hour) and retired 40 years later from the Burlington Northern. She was an agent and telegrapher.

Kerry was active in the Morse Club, and was secretary-treasurer for many years. She was a life-long learner, taking classes at FVCC.

Kerry loved to create fancywork. She was always busy with several projects at a time. She kept her family and friends in socks, eggs, afgans, pins, doilies, and bracelets.

Kerry is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Roxie and Richard Lehl, Wendy and Jerry Armstrong. She had two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Samuel Armstrong; a brother- and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Facincani; and sisters, Billy Facincani and Leona Shrum.

A memorial Mass will be said at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Risen Christ Catholic Church. A reception will be held at her home after the service. An additional service will be held in June in Butte.

Any memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
