Four spikers collect Class A all-state honors

They are: Whitefish's Ferda, Menegazzi; Bigfork's Fierro; Libby's Hageness

Four local volleyball standouts have been listed among the state's best.

Alyssa Fierro of Bigfork, Brooke Hageness of Libby, and Whitefish's Ashley Ferda and Brielle Menegazzi have all been named to the Class A all-state team.

But the list of top-notch players doesn't end there.

Those four are also among the first team all-conference athletes from the Northwestern A.

Others on the first team are sophomore Jackie Mee and senior Megan Wedel of Libby.

Second team honorees are senior Avery Vogel of Bigfork, junior Alyssa Ladenburg and senior Sarah Marcille of Columbia Falls, senior Shelby Barton of Libby, sophomore Staci Benson of Polson and senior Hailey Farmin of Whitefish.

Junior Kaylee Larson of Ronan and sophomore Nicole Davey of Polson were both honorable mention.
