Deputies arrest a fugitive from Boise

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies were notified that a probation violator from Boise may be in the North Fork Road area. They found the 24-year-old man and arrested him on warrants for drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol, and contempt of court. He is also considered a fugitive from justice. The man is being held in the Flathead County Detention Center on $20,725 bail.

Deputies were unable to locate a girl who ran away from home and was reportedly staying at a transient camp behind a tourist attraction on U.S. 2.

A 19-year-old woman was knocked down by a pit bull while she was jogging on Bad Rock Drive. She escaped without being bitten.

A woman called deputies to report her soon-to-be ex-husband, who was reportedly at a Mountain Avenue residence with their three children threatening to kill their uncle. Deputies responded and cleared the complaint unfounded.

A woman told deputies she was assaulted on Armory Road by her ex-boyfriend.

Somebody stole two packages of beef jerky from a convenience store on Woodland Park Drive and rode off on a bicycle.

A person watching their neighbor's Evergreen Drive home while they were away saw lights on inside and called deputies. Turns out the occupants were renters.

A 48-year-old hunter was reported missing Monday morning in the Soldier Mountain area. He was found eight hours later, unharmed. He had been absent from his camp at the Spotted Bear landing strip since Sunday night. The Flathead County and North Valley search and rescue teams participated in the search.
