John Russell Treweek, 36

John Russell Treweek, 36, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at his home in San Diego from complications of a rare heart disorder.

He was born June 15, 1971 in Kalispell to Wayne and Sharon (Coppedge) Treweek.

John graduated from Flathead High School in 1990 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January 1991. He graduated from Electronics Technical School and was stationed in California, where he has served five tours of duty to the Persian Gulf and most recently completed a goodwill tour in South America. John was just finishing his 17th year of active duty. He will forever be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to the U.S. Navy.

John was passionate about automobiles and snowmobiles. He loved four-wheeling the California dunes, going to NASCAR and drag races with friends. He also loved spending his free time in the outdoors of Montana.

John was loved by many and will be remembered by all who knew and loved him; especially the nieces and nephews he adored so much.

John is survived by his parents, Wayne and Sharon (Coppedge) Treweek, of Kalispell; two sisters, Lori Gibson and her husband, Kevin, and their children, Kylee and Justin, of Kalispell, and Kris Latimer and her husband, Jeff, and their children, Lindsey and Jack, of Camas, Wash. He also is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for John will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, in the First Presbyterian Church of Kalispell, with Pastor Glenn Burfeind officiating. Burial will be afterward in the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, in the Johnson Mortuary chapel.
