Ruth Cecelia Hunter, 84

Ruth Cecelia Hunter, 84, of Polson, died on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at St. Joseph Hospital in Polson.

Ruth was born July 20, 1923, in Conrad to John Edward and Alice Ann Brophy. She grew and attended schools near Valier.

Ruth married George M. Dean on Oct. 15, 1941, in Shelby. They had two children together and later divorced.

She married Lawrence Perry. and they later divorced.

Ruth married Eugene Hodge in Idaho on June 18, 1975. He preceded her in death in 1975.

She married Robert Hunter on Aug. 6, 1983. Bob passed away in 2005.

Ruth moved to Polson in 1967.

She was active in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and she operated 'Ruth's Bed and Breakfast' in Polson for many years. Ruth liked to dance, play pinochle, travel, take rides in the country and make quilts. She made quilts for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands; and a sister.

She is survived by her two sons, Edward Dean of Polson, and Dwight T. Dean and his wife, Yvette, of Bidderford, Maine. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Polson. Interment will be afterward at Lakeview Cemetery. A reception will be held after the graveside service.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
