Vandals cause extensive water damage

Someone broke into a residence on Montana 206 near Columbia Falls and flooded it. The owners returned home to find all the faucets turned on, fixtures overflowing, and the hose to the washing machine disconnected. It appears to be more vandalism than burglary, said investigators. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies described the damage as extensive.

A huge fight was reported at a bar on West Idaho Street. More than 15 people were involved.

A 12-year-old boy was reported missing from his Gordon Avenue home. He was found staying with a neighbor.

A 2-year-old child got locked in a running car on Glacier Ranch Road.

A passerby found a dead dog on River Junction Road. Its muzzle was reportedly taped shut and front paws taped together. The corpse was gone when animal wardens arrived.

Two men sitting in a car struck a concerned citizen as suspicious. Turns out they were just sleeping.
