Erik L. Mize, 42

Erik L. Mize, 42, a former Kalispell resident, died Nov. 7, 2007, in San Francisco.

He had been a resident of Stevinson, Calif., at the time of his death. He was born at Great Falls on April 13, 1965, to Charles and Nancy Mize. He attended grade school in Pacifica, Calif., and came to Kalispell with his parents where he completed middle school and attended Flathead High School, graduating from there in 1983. Following high school graduation, he resided in the Turlock and Modesto, Calif., area, receiving an associate's degree at Merced Junior College.

Erik had worked for Rite-Aid in Livingston, Calif., for the past 10 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bicycling. He had been a member of Harvest Christian Center in Turlock.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Virginia Dirks, and Fred and Mary Mize.

He is survived by his parents, Charles and Nancy Mize of Libby; a sister, Vicki Brown, of Kalispell; a brother, Fred Mize, of Missoula; two nephews; and three nieces.

Services were held Nov. 13 in Turlock. Local graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at the City of Libby Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Lindgren officiating.

Arrangements are under the care of Nelson & Vial Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
