Thomas Alvin Morris, 89

Thomas Alvin Morris, 89, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at Brendan House Hospice Care in Kalispell.

"His spirit is with his Savior Jesus Christ awaiting the resurrection day."

Thomas was born in Handsboro, Miss., (Harrison County) on Aug. 7, 1918, the son of William C. and Annie B. (Rippy) Morris. He was a lifelong resident of Satsuma, Ala., (Mobile County) before moving to Kalispell a few years ago with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Arlene DeVito, and granddaughter, Daphne Lisenby of Kalispell, who describe him as "The best dad and grandpa in the world."

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 5, in the 300 Pod at Brendan House with Pastor John Weaver officiating. Burial will take place in Creola Cemetery in Creola, Ala.

Buffalo Hill Funeral Home is caring for the family.
