Unearthed ribs were canine

Geocaching, a high-tech treasure hunt in which participants use Global Positioning Systems to find hidden caches, often yields surprises. It doesn't often lead to an exhumation, however.

A young man called the Flathead County Sheriff's Office after he unearthed ribs while geocaching near the Presentine Bar fishing access Saturday morning. After examining the grave, deputies determined the ribs belonged to a dog that had been laid to rest there.

The woman slumped over her steering wheel on Tamarack Wood Drive was only sleeping.
