A dead bear was found Saturday evening in the southbound lane of U.S. 93 a half mile northwest of Whitefish, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office reported.

Earlier in the day, a bear wandered through a Ferndale yard, and another bear got chased by a horse into the woods at U.S. 93 and Industrial Court.

A vehicle hit a deer Saturday evening on Trumble Creek Road.

A man slapped and tore a woman's shirt Saturday evening on Whalebone Drive.

A bull ran loose early Sunday on Columbia Falls Stage Road.
