Kalispell police were called to check out two men attempting to jimmy a lock on Fifth Avenue West. The pair turned out to be locksmiths.

A man near the corner of Fifth Avenue West and Second Street allegedly tried to knife the dog that was biting at his feet. The dog escaped without injury.
