Helena High drops Glacier
The Daily Inter Lake
HELENA - This one hurt a lot.
Emilee Hashley had 14 kills and four blocks and Lindsea Vaudt added 29 assists, 17 digs and three aces, but it wasn't enough to lift the Glacier Wolfpack volleyball team.
Host Helena High dropped the first game to the Wolfpack, but bounced back to claim a 19-25, 26-16, 25-23, 27-25 Western AA victory.
"We played well, we just couldn't finish," Glacier coach Christy Harkins said. "We served aggressively in that first game and my middle blockers did a good job at the net. But we ended up making too many errors at the wrong times. And they were non-aggressive errors. We were serving game point in the fourth game and served so far wide that (Helena) didn't even have to decide to go for it or not.
"It's frustrating. I'm disappointed with our ability to close. It's not OK anymore. We're not young anymore."
The Wolfpack dropped to 1-10 on the season.
Jordyn Pillatzke paced the Bengals with 10 kills and two blocks.
