Gary Charles Clive "Corky" Corkins, 72,

passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. Corky was born in Sidney to William and Helene (Ford) Corkins on Oct. 7, 1935. He attended high school at Sidney, and graduated from Browning High School.

He spent his youth in Browning, and later worked as a railroad conductor.

He graduated from Western Montana College, and earned a Master of Business Administration degree at Columbus College in Georgia.

He served 32 years in the U.S. Army including a tour to Vietnam, and retired as a lieutenant colonel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Weis; his parents; and three brothers, Bill, Jack and Kenneth.

He is survived by three children, Gary Corkins and his wife, Vanese, Tamara Vasquez, and Ronald Corkins; one granddaughter, Victoria Vasquez; and by nieces and nephews.

A private family service is planned. 'Corky' requested that his ashes be forever joined with those of his beloved Roberta in the Moab area of southern Utah.

The family suggests that donations be made to St. Vincent DePaul Homeless Center, 427 W. 200 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
