Girl arrested for allegedly punching older brother

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 14-year-old Shady Lane girl for family member assault after she allegedly punched her 24-year-old brother in the face after she called 911 to report an argument.

Bullet holes were found in a Lore Lake Road mailbox. A second mailbox was vandalized on Jensen Road.

Extra patrol was requested in the Whitefish area after some kids were spotted spray painting trains.

Animal wardens answered a Blankenship resident's questions about a rabbit problem.

A Meadow Lake Boulevard woman told deputies a man broke into her house, beat her with a pipe, and stole her TV and DVD player.

Men in a pickup truck took off from a store on U.S. 2 without paying for three used windows.

A Gunsite Loop woman told deputies she was being harassed by another woman, over an apparently common boyfriend.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded twice to a bulk store on U.S. 93 North after receiving reports that a man was outside taking pictures of women.

A woman hit by a car near the intersection of Second Avenue East and Third Street refused transport to the hospital. The 43-year-old driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

A pistol was stolen from a U.S. 93 South hotel room.

After getting her nails done at a salon on U.S. 93 North, a woman sped off without paying.

People moving out of an Eighth Avenue West residence left the door open, windows broken, and trash in the yard.

Officers arrested a 25-year-old man at a bar on Airport Road for possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged a pool cue.

Police were called to deal with a man yelling and trying to get into a locked Fourth Avenue West residence. Turns out he had been pepper sprayed and was looking for help. The man agreed to fill out a statement for police when he figured out who sprayed him.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police responded to Third Avenue West where two bicycles were reported stolen.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at a grocery store on U.S. 2.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department, Marion Ambulance, and Smith Valley Fire Department were paged out after a man had been thrown from a horse on U.S. 2 about eight miles west of town. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The West Valley Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Whitefish Stage Road.

Marion Ambulance took a 20-year-old woman with possible alcohol poisoning to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to an accident on Sixth Avenue West and Ninth Street. Two people suffered minor injuries.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a school on West Nevada Street and took a 9-year-old boy who fell off some playground equipment to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
