Harry 'Bing' Holling, 69

Harry "Bing" Holling, 69, passed away April 16, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. Bing was born Feb. 1, 1939, in Townsend. He was the son of Fane Charles and Hazel (Sitton) Holling.

Bing worked summers as a ranch hand as a teenager. After graduating from high school, he spent a six-month stint in the Reserves. He attended the University of Montana and received his degree from the College of Great Falls.

Bing spent several years as a referee, one of his favorite sport involvements. He was an avid Grizzly sports fan and enjoyed golfing with his friends.

He taught science and biology for 25 years in the Kalispell School District, as well as being a coach, and also was a longtime driver's education instructor. Upon his retirement, he and his wife, Joan, enjoyed winters with their friends in Arizona.

Bing was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Holling, of Kalispell; two sons, Brian Holling of Helena, and Brett and Paula Holling of Helena; two stepdaughters, Shannon Stage of Missoula, and Sherri and Bret Lindsay of Kalispell; six grandchildren, Troy, Heather, Kyle and Jessica Holling, all of Helena, and Clay and Taylor Lindsay of Kalispell; two sisters, Myra Bridgewater of Raymond, Wash., and Pat Thompson of Chewelah, Wash.; two brothers, Larry Holling of Seguin, Texas, and Jerry Holling of Chelmford, Mass.; and longtime friend, Richard Rossow, of Kalispell.

At Bing's request, there will be no formal services planned.
