Karin Louise Klingler, 61
Karin Louise Klingler, 61, died Aug. 12, 2008, in Salt Lake City, with her three children at her side. She was born March 6, 1947, in Kalispell.
She was the first daughter of Earl Newell Klingler and Irene Robinson Klingler. She grew up near many members of extended family, attended Kalispell schools, graduated from Flathead County High School in 1965, and then attended Brigham Young University.
She worked at Brigham Young University for 40 years, (8 1/2 years in the library, one year in the associate academic vice president's office, and 30-plus years in the Office of the General Counsel). During those years, she raised her three children in Provo and Orem, and has delighted in being close to them and her eight grandchildren.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities, but mostly in Relief Society. She enjoyed her association in her ward and neighborhood, and appreciated the friendships made there.
She is survived by her mother, Irene Klingler, of Kalispell; her two brothers, Steven and Yolanda Klingler of Mesa, Ariz., and Kenneth and Janis Klingler of Mesa; two sisters, Marilyn and Jerry Hamblin of Clearfield, Utah, and Jeannie and Mike Johnson of West Bountiful, Utah; her children, Melisa and Greg Roberts of Salt Lake City, Kimberly and Dave Vincent of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Travis and Stacie Orr of Sherwood, Ore.; her eight grandchildren, Jacob Roberts, Andrew Vincent, Ashley Roberts, Allison Vincent, Emily Roberts, Seth Roberts, Stockton Orr and Gabriel Orr; and many others who called her mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
She was grateful for the kind and competent care she received from her physicians over 24-plus years and the numerous medical advances made in cancer treatment, which allowed her many additional good years of life. She enjoyed her association with other cancer survivors who inspired her to thrive. She loved the many years she had with family and friends and looks forward to an eternal association with them, "thanks to the atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ."
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, in the Orem Utah Stonewood Stake Center, 450 S. 100 W., Orem, Utah 84057.
