Allen D. Davis, 74, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at the home of his daughter in Hot Springs. He was born Nov. 17, 1933, to Homer T. and Alice Van Alstine Davis in a log cabin at Libby.
Of all his jobs, the love of his life was long-haul flatbed trucking.
He is best remembered for his wonderful storytelling, his love of vehicles, collecting coins, rocks and antiques, and especially his love of family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy; daughters, Joyce and Terry Magorty, and Trixie and Steve Siler; granddaughter, Ariana, and Adam Johnson; brothers, Larry and Shelly Parkison, and Irwin Davis; sister, Jeanette, and Ron Halvorson; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at the Hot Springs Presbyterian Church, 321 Arlee St. S. Burial will be at the Lonepine Cemetery with a fellowship potluck to follow at the church.
