Flathead County sheriff

A 13-year-old boy fled from a car after it crashed into another vehicle in the parking lot of a resort on McGregor Lake. Flathead County sheriff's deputies said they were unsure whether the boy was driving. Two girls were taken to the hospital after the collision. The boy apparently wasn't familiar with the area, so the Search and Rescue team was dispatched to find him. The boy eventually wandered across a nearby resident's property and was released into the custody of his mother.

Deputies recovered a Jeep, reported stolen out of Whitefish, near a convenience store at the intersection of U.S. 93 and Montana 82.

A man at a campground on Helena Flats Road got a call from another man, saying he had put sand in the gas tank of a motorcycle there. Deputies responded, but were unable to find sand in any gas tanks.

Tools were stolen from an unlocked construction trailer on Wintercrest Road.

A Trumble Creek Road resident got a call from a man threatening to "beat his racist a-."

Teens riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers down Bernard Road were reported by a neighbor for making too much noise.

Deputies sent an intoxicated man hanging around a box store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen on his way.

Deputies counseled a 15-year-old Shady Lane girl, who said she was being threatened by her mother.

Deputies pulled over an inattentive driver traveling westbound from Bigfork on Montana 35 and arrested the 44-year-old man on suspicion of DUI. Apparently, he didn't notice the flashing lights behind him for a little while.

Deputies separated two people arguing at a residence off Montana 83 for the night.

A group of kids partying off Edgewood Drive outside of Whitefish scattered when deputies arrived. Authorities towed some of the vehicles and contacted the teens' parents.

Deputies received 196 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

A man requesting his records from an accounting firm on Four Mile Drive began causing a scene and refused to leave when they didn't materialize. Kalispell police responded and warned the man that if he returned he would be cited for trespassing.

A dirty transient, with a bedroll, was reported for sleeping next to a power transformer on 18th Street East.

A man at a motel on U.S. 93 South told police his ex-wife is abusing the youth.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia at Woodland Park.

Mail was torn up and thrown around on Woodland Avenue.

A woman was screaming at a little girl outside a pawn shop on West Idaho Street. A passer-by thought this was inappropriate and called police.

A woman told police her roommate stole her car. When officers found the man at a bar on West Idaho Street they determined the theft was unfounded but ticketed him on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

Two men fighting outside a bar on Second Street East were gone when officers arrived.

A man at a grocery store on Third Avenue East North poured his beverage on the floor and generally threw a tantrum when employees refused to sell him alcohol.

A man recently evicted from a West Nevada Street residence demanded the security deposit back. Now the landlord is missing $650.

Officers received 114 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 31 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 17-year-old girl on suspicion of possession of alcohol and the 29-year-old man who provided it for her with unlawful transaction with a minor during a traffic stop on U.S. 2.

Officers received 40 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The South Kalispell Fire Department was paged out to the hulk of a burned out vehicle near Patrick Creek. Investigators are trying to track down the owner. The vehicle had not been reported stolen.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Smith Lake Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department, Evergreen Fire Department and Creston Fire Department were paged out to a rollover crash on Montana 35 near mile marker 42.

The ALERT helicopter, Marion Ambulance, and the Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a rollover crash near the intersection of U.S. 2 and Ashley Lake Road.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a ranch on U.S. 93 north of town after a rider fell off a horse.

Bigfork Ambulance and the Creston Fire Department were paged out to a crash near the intersection of LaBrant Road and Montana 35. The occupants of the vehicles suffered minor injuries.
