Flathead County sheriff

A purse was stolen on Meadowlark Drive early Saturday morning when a burglar came in through an unlocked sliding glass door. The purse was sitting about 10 feet from its sleeping owner when it was stolen, according to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office.

The burglar apparently attempted to break into two other houses on the street. A screen was removed on one home's bedroom window, and someone used a screwdriver to try and remove the screens on another residence's windows. The theft and attempted burglaries are under investigation.

A man, to whom deputies had spoken earlier that day about his drug use, told deputies a woman was harassing him. She insisted that he was harassing her about her drug use.

A Browns Meadow man suspects his neighbor finally made good on threats to shoot his cow.

Deputies counseled a man who thinks his neighbor is dealing meth.

An intoxicated Marion man said his wife, who also had been drinking, kicked him in the groin a few times.

A horse died when a vehicle hit it on U.S. 2 east of West Glacier. The driver was not injured in the accident.

Kalispell police

One of those calls included a report that a man with a heavy accent, a folder and a bike reportedly was peddling educational products in Evergreen. Kalispell police later received a call about a European man on a bike harassing a man who wasn't interested in the children's map books he was selling. The peddler wouldn't take no for an answer, the uninterested customer's wife said.

A man whose vehicle was towed when he was arrested retrieved his car Friday afternoon, only to discover the $450 guitar he'd left inside was gone.

An electronics store employee was helping a customer when they heard a pop. Moments later, the open glass door shattered.

A caller reported a bike theft that had occurred at Woodland Park three hours earlier.

Columbia Falls police received 41 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Evergreen ambulance took a pedestrian who'd been struck by a car on U.S. 2 in Evergreen to the hospital late Friday night.

Kalispell Fire Department ambulances took three people with minor injuries to the hospital Saturday after a car accident on Main Street.

The person who reported a car on fire on Bridge Street was fighting the flames when the Bigfork Fire Department arrived.
