Glacier's Vaudt, Smart named to all-state volleyball team

Two Glacier volleyball players were recently named to the Montana Class AA Volleyball 2008 All-State first team.

Seniors Lindsea Vaudt and Kayla Smart were honored for their abilities as setter and libero.

Defensive specialist Megan Olszewski, a senior at Flathead, received Class AA All-State second team honors and fellow senior Hana Burton, an outside hitter for the Bravettes, was honorable mention.

Rounding out the list of Class AA Volleyball All-State athletes are:

First team

Outside hitters: Mo Ritter, senior, Billings Senior, Coriann Clark, senior, Bozeman, Kelsey Williams, junior, Helena High, Lisa Woerlein, junior, Missoula Hellgate.

Middle hitters: Jennifer Keddy, senior, Missoula Sentinel, Kylie Edinger, senior, Billings Senior.

Setter: Emily Carroll, senior, Billings Senior.

Defensive specialist: Cassie Hughes, senior, Helena High.

Libero: Erin Compton, senior, Billings West.

Second team

Outside hitters: Joslyn Tinkle, senior, Missoula Big Sky, Lindsey Hall, senior, Missoula Big Sky, Jamie Elenbaas, senior, Billings Skyview, Kylie Kufeld, senior, Billings Senior.
