Margaret J. 'Marge' (Perra) Weber, 90

Margaret J. "Marge" (Perra) Weber, 90, passed away quietly at her home with family at her side Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in Kalispell. She was born on Dec. 5, 1917, in her family home in Great Falls, to Frederick J. and Jenny Irene (Collins) Perra.

Marge graduated from Great Falls High School in 1935.

Then she attended St. Catherine's in St. Paul, Minn., where she met her husband, Francis Weber, on a blind date. After marrying in 1938, they began a life that had them living in Butte, Denver, then moving to Livingston, Billings, Portland, Great Falls, and finally Kalispell.

Marge was a member of the Altar Society at St. Joseph Parish and also president of the Columbus Hospital Auxiliary, both in Great Falls, and was an active member of the Junior League in Great Falls. She was den mother for both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fran, in 1997; her sister, Sue Perra Flynn McPherson; her devoted companion, Dodd Meade; and nearly all of her friends.

She is survived by her four children, Jack F. Weber and wife, Fay, of Anaconda, Shirley R. Rodman Weber and husband, Chuck, of Liberty Lake, Wash., Frederick C. Weber of Rexburg, and Janice M. Hammett of Kalispell; six grandchildren, John Rice, Chris Weber, Jennifer Rice, Michael Weber, Jonathan Hammett and Hailey Hammett; four great-grandchildren, Donovan Rice, Connor Rice, Julia Weber and Sidney Weber; and one great-grandson due in March.

Mass of Christian Burial for Marge will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, at Risen Christ Catholic Church. Viewing will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. today, Dec. 3, followed by a rosary at 6 p.m., all at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. Burial will be next to her beloved husband at Hillcrest Mausoleum in Great Falls, at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5.
