Jane K. Crowell, 90, passed away Nov. 17, 2008, in Monroe, Wash., at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Rick Drivstuen.

Jane was born March 15, 1918, in Bemidji, Minn., to Hiram and Rose Harris. She was the second of 11 children.

Jane met and married Stan Crowell in 1935. Jane and Stan had four children. In 1947, they moved from Minnesota to Monroe, Wash., where they owned and operated Crowell Logging and Shake Mill.

After the death of Stan in 1980, Jane moved to their property on the Bitterroot Lake. Jane loved the peaceful beautiful lake and with the help of her sons, she continued to live there until she became ill. Jane recently moved back to Monroe to be cared for by her daughter and son-in-law.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Stan Crowell; sons, Doug and Jerry Crowell; grandsons, Randy and Rick Crowell; great-grandchildren, Taylor Washington, Samantha Crowell and Troy Boggs; also her parents, Hiram and Rose; brothers, Rich, Bob, Don, Harold and Lorie Harris; and sisters, Lenore Rhodi and Bert Wright.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna, and Rick Drivstuen, of Monroe; son, Bruce, and Judy Crowell, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Crowell, all of Kalispell; brothers, Jack and Darrel Harris, and sister, Ruth Larkey, all of Minnesota. She leaves 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Jane was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and we will miss her greatly.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County, 2731 Wetmore Ave., No. 500, Everett, WA 98201.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Riverside Vineyard Church, 859 W. Reserve Drive, in Kalispell.
