Fifteen dozen eggs were stolen on Farm To Market Road. The last time something like this happened, a massive egging soon followed, according to the person reporting the theft. Flathead County sheriff's deputies took the report.

An Orchard Ridge Road woman returned home from work to find the area around the toilet in her bathroom a mess. The woman's son said it wasn't him, so she called deputies to report that someone had been in her house.

Deputies ticketed an 18-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting after he tried to leave a box store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen with two cans of compressed air hidden in the front of his pants. The man, who said he wasn't going to huff the chemicals, told investigators someone had given him $10 to steal the cans.

Medication and a wallet were stolen from a pickup parked outside an Evergreen grocery store.

Someone walking down Columbia Falls Stage Road made a 30-yard detour to break several windows out of a nearby garage. After committing this senseless act of vandalism, the perpetrator walked back to the road.

Deputies responded to East Evergreen Drive after a man and woman got into a yelling match over the custody of their child. Each accused the other of bad parenting.

Someone killed a dog and stuffed it in a garbage bag, which was then found in the Flathead River about a quarter mile downstream from the Old Steel Bridge. The matter is under investigation.

A 17-year-old Ben Williams Lane boy became belligerent after receiving a report card with failing grades. The boy's probation officer apparently had told him he was passing.

Someone living near a Helena Flats Road school saw some youths congregated outside at about 8:30 p.m., thought this was suspicious, and called deputies. Turns out they were there for a 4-H meeting and had gotten locked out.

A man called deputies to report that his ex-girlfriend, who is staying at his residence on U.S. 93 South, stabbed holes in his couch and broke one of his trophies.

A woman doing laundry on East Evergreen Drive took another woman's clothes out of the dryer and walked out with them. Everything had been returned when deputies arrived.

Youths tore down some Christmas lights on Fourth Avenue South in Martin City.

Two men in dark clothing were spotted rifling through vehicles on South Cedar Drive. They were gone when deputies arrived.

A man tried to break down the door to a room at a motel on Montana 35 and challenge the occupant to a fight. He also threatened to use a Taser. Deputies arrived, and everybody decided not to press charges.

Deputies were called to mediate a property-line dispute between two people on Apple Lane.

Deputies received 153 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to a Main Street sandwich shop after an ex-employee locked herself in a closet. Officers counseled the woman and told her not to return to the business.

Officers arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of drug possession after responding to a theft complaint on Second Avenue west.

A First Avenue East woman filed a complaint against her brother, who allegedly refused to remove his stuff from her apartment.

A Sixth Avenue East woman told officers she noticed that her ex-husband kept driving around the block.

Employees of a Kalispell liquor store thought a customer was trying to defraud the business by using bad checks.

A Kalispell-area woman reported that she and her mother were receiving harassing and profane text messages. Officers told the 15-year-old girl thought to be responsible to knock it off.

Two men fighting on Fourth Avenue East were gone when officers arrived.

After receiving two 911 hang-ups from a residence on 13th Street East, officers visited the home and arrested a woman on suspicion of family member assault.

Antlers were stolen from the yard of a Seventh Street East home.

Officers received 66 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 39 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police were called to investigate reports of a suspicious person in the parking lot of a restaurant on Nucleus Avenue. Nothing apparently was amiss.

Administrators of a Columbia Falls high school agreed to handle an incident involving an unruly student internally. Officers were notified anyway.

Officers received 28 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to U.S. 2 after an elderly man parked in a driving lane was found slumped over in his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital.

Bigfork Ambulance responded to Old Paint Trail after a resident suffered a hip and leg injury. The patient was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to the Flathead County Detention Center after an inmate injured his head. He reportedly wouldn't stop banging it against a cell door. The inmate was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department also responded to Fifth Avenue West to treat a 55-year-old man who possibly had blood poisoning.
