Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received a report Sunday morning of a vehicle, with keys left inside, being stolen from Second Avenue West. The vehicle was found abandoned in the afternoon near Winfield Road and Columbia Falls Stage Road.

Earlier in the morning, officers assisted in evacuating residents in an RV park east of Columbia Falls after a gas leak was reported.

The department received 14 calls for service between 3:15 p.m. Saturday and 3:15 p.m. Sunday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a woman, 48, near the viaduct late Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A man, 40, was arrested on suspicion of theft on Central Avenue early Sunday. In the same incident, a woman, 24, was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer.

A woman, 54, was arrested on suspicion of DUI on U.S. 93 South early Sunday.

The department received 34 calls for service between 3:15 p.m. Saturday and 3:15 p.m. Sunday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested a man, 20, on suspicion of theft from a store in the Hutton Ranch Plaza on Saturday afternoon. The man also was ticketed in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Car stereo equipment was reported stolen from a vehicle park on First Avenue West North.

Officers investigated a report from a person who said someone broke his television screen at a Liberty Street residence.

Officers dispersed snowboarders who had set up a snow ramp in the parking lot of the Salvation Army store on U.S. 93 South.

A woman reported that her daughter had been assaulted by another girl on Sunnyview Lane late Saturday.

On Sunday morning, the department received a report of several mailboxes being smashed on Airport Road.

The department received 65 calls for service between 3:15 p.m. Saturday and 3:15 p.m. Sunday.

Flathead sheriff

Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance involving a mother and son at a residence on Spring Prairie Road late Saturday.

There was a disturbance involving a girlfriend and boyfriend at a home on Holt Drive. The boyfriend left the scene.

A woman was arrested on suspicion of partner assault after a disturbance at a home on North Hill Drive.

There was a report of criminal mischief involving a gate that had been damaged at a home on Tamarack Creek Drive in the Whitefish area.

Deputies got a complaint about dogs being left in an outdoor kennel during extreme low temperatures.

The department received 126 calls for service between 3:15 p.m. Saturday and 3:15 p.m. Sunday.

Alarms

The Hungry Horse Fire Department and Martin City Fire Department were among the responders Saturday evening to a chimney fire that was contained at a home on First Avenue South in Hungry Horse.
