Tinkle powers Big Sky past Bigfork

BIGFORK - Joslyn Tinkle scored 26 of her game-high 31 points in the first half as Class AA Missoula Big Sky (4-0) cruised past Class A Bigfork 70-42 in nonconference girls basketball play on Tuesday.

Big Sky led 18-9 after eight minutes of action and 37-17 at the half.

Mallery Knoll had a strong offensive go for Bigfork (1-2), finishing with 17 points. Roxy Thurman was next with 14.

"The girls played with a lot of heart, gave it their best shot," Bigfork coach Mark Hansen said. "They went up against a really good team."

Tinkle, a senior, scored a season-high 34 points on Saturday versus Billings West. Her career high is 35.

Bigfork hosts Libby on Friday, 7:30 p.m.
