A donkey on Two Mile Drive was attacked by two pit bulls at about 1:30 p.m. Friday. The dogs, who belonged to a neighbor, had gotten loose from their pen. The donkey was bitten on the legs and taken to a Kalispell-area animal hospital. The dogs' owner was ticketed in connection with having vicious animals. County animal wardens investigated.

Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to Judith Way after a man allegedly was threatened by a person wielding a spoon and accused of stealing. The two people fighting reportedly had gotten together to watch a movie.

A Browns Meadow Road woman involved in an easement dispute with a neighbor called authorities after allegedly hearing shots from the other party's property. The report was unfounded.

In separate incidents, deputies arrested a 38-year-old man on Airport Road and a 37-year-old man on Ardell Drive after responding to domestic disturbances.

A child was reported missing from a Lake Hills Drive home. Turns out a caretaker had taken the child, who wasn't really missing, to dinner.

Someone allegedly stole a 1992 Ford truck from a residence on Echo Lake Road in Bigfork.

A dog was reported stolen in the Bigfork area. Responding deputies determined the matter was a civil problem.

Deputies received 131 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to Windward Loop after a woman refused to leave a residence when asked. Officers were back several hours later when the woman was spotted sitting outside the home in her car. The roommate reportedly wanted to make it clear she wasn't wanted there anymore.

Officers arrested a 56-year-old man in connection with assault, theft, and disorderly conduct while responding to a call on Fourth Avenue East.

A former employee of a drug store on Second Avenue West allegedly threatened to vandalize the building and harm customers.

Youths were spotted towing one another behind cars in the icy parking lot of a Whitefish Stage Road school.

A Fifth Avenue East woman called to complain that neighbor youths were throwing snowballs. She has been "under siege" from the children for more than a year after calling Child Protective Services on the family, the woman told police.

A man trying to pick a fight with his roommate on Coot Court was arrested in connection with possession of alcohol.

A woman asked police to assist her in retrieving her 6-month-old daughter from the child's father, who was at a motel on U.S. 93 South. Officers responded and the man was arrested in connection with partner assault.

Officers received 73 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police responded to a bank on Baker Avenue after tires were slashed on a car parked in the lot.

Officers received 48 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 29-year-old woman in connection with theft after she allegedly took money from a movie rental store on U.S. 2.

Officers received 18 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department was paged out to a Helena Flats Road residence after the home filled with smoke. Turns out there was wood on top of the wood-burning stove instead of in it. The call was canceled.

The Smith Valley Fire Department and Marion Ambulance responded to an Emmons Canyon Road residence after a 14-month-old was fallen on by a sibling. The child was not taken to the hospital.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a home on West Utah Street after a 1-year-old boy got his leg stuck in a chair.

The Kalispell Fire Department and Evergreen Fire Department responded to a crash on U.S. 2 and Reserve Drive. An injured occupant was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a Fifth Street West residence after a clothes dryer reportedly caught fire.
